As the Ideal World is the perfect reflection in all its particular aspects of the One Idea, the Three Perfections are the immanent essences of that emanating Idea; and in their unity of expression constitute the beauty of the Integral Order.The Three Perfections being the reproduction or reflection of the One Substance, they correspond, in their triune interactive relationships, to the four-fold, the seven-fold, and nine-fold orders, or the respective Moments of Illumination in the Celestial Realms.

TRANSCENDENTAL MONISM

The beautiful presentation of the higher form of the Sufi philosophy given by Mohammed Barakatullah in recent numbers of Mind, with which the writer finds himself remarkably in accord, has moved him to submit to its readers a rough summary of his own as yet unpublished philosophical system (the manuscript of which passed through the hands of a well-known scholar on the Atlantic slope several weeks before the first of the Sufi articles appeared), by way of a document illustrative of the measure of agreement which may often be found among thinkers representing the very religions and philosophies which, in their superficial aspects, are most diverse and contradictory.

Since the invention of the European printing press the civilized world has been flooded with literature emanating from a large number and variety of societies, organizations, brotherhoods and lodges, each claiming to be the guardian of a “secret doctrine”, “a sacred wisdom” or an “ancient way”, which not only claimed to provide answers to many of the most difficult questions in Religion and Philosophy, and to confer certain magical powers on its initiates, but also usually claimed divine authority, oriental origin or great antiquity.
